Singer-actress IU continued her tradition of giving by donating ₩150 million KRW (~$108,000 USD) under the name “IUAENA” (a combination of her name and fan club UAENA).
- ₩62 million KRW went to Eden I Ville, supporting children preparing for independent living and helping fund Children’s Day events and gifts.
- ₩90 million KRW was donated to Hansa Village and Hansarang Infant Center for the Disabled to aid with boiler replacement, medical rehabilitation, and daily care for children with disabilities.
IU is well known for her consistent charitable efforts, often donating on personal milestones like her debut anniversary or birthday. She was also named to Forbes Asia’s 30 Heroes of Philanthropy in 2019 and earlier this year donated ₩200 million KRW to wildfire relief and firefighter welfare.

Jo In-sung Gives the Gift of Comfort and Care

Actor Jo In-sung took a more personal approach by gifting sneakers and monthly snacks to children at an orphanage in Seoul’s Gangdong-gu. He also regularly covers the cost of birthday cakes, tteokbokki, and pizza for the children and has invited youth with disabilities to his film premieres.
Since 2020, he has been involved in raising funds for rare pediatric disease treatment.
These generous acts by Korea’s top stars underscore a powerful message of compassion, showing how influence can be used for good especially on a day meant to celebrate and uplift children.
