Chinese Couple Criticized for Vaping at G-Dragon’s Concert Despite Warnings

G-Dragon held his highly anticipated “Coupang Play Presents G-Dragon 2025 World Tour [Übermensch] in Korea” on March 29 and 30 at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province.

According to a fan who attended the concert on March 29, the couple was seen vaping in the F3 section despite being told by security to stop. The fan posted on social media the next day, stating, “There were so many Chinese fans, it felt like I’d just returned from a trip to China, but their concert etiquette was terrible. I feel bad for Ji-yong (G-Dragon).”

The fan further expressed frustration, “No cheering, no chanting for an encore, no fan signs… but what really made me angry was the Chinese couple vaping during the performance. At first, security told them to stop, but they pretended not to understand. Once security left, they started again. I’m still furious.”
A video uploaded alongside the post shows the man and woman casually taking turns vaping in the middle of the packed venue.

The footage quickly spread online, drawing harsh reactions from netizens:
- “Are people allowed to smoke in concert venues in China? What kind of disgraceful behavior is this in another country?”
- “Of course, smoking isn’t allowed in Chinese venues either. How can they pretend not to know the rules when they’re abroad?”
- “Wow, in all my years, I’ve never seen someone vape at a concert.”
- “They vaped right there? They must be insane.”
The incident has sparked intense backlash, with many calling for stricter enforcement of concert etiquette and more respectful behavior from international attendees.
