Choo Young-woo was born in Seoul, Korea. His family consists of his father, mother, and younger brother. His father is actually Choo Seung-il, a top model back in the 90s.

Choo Young-woo began his career rather late, in 2021. At the time, he appeared as Song Si-on in the web-series “You Make Me Dance” and as Park Min-kyu in “Police University”, followed by a role in the K-drama “School 2021”. In 2022, he starred alongside Red Velvet’s Joy in the web drama “Once Upon a Small Town”.

In 2023, the actor was confirmed to be appearing in “Oasis”, and his career began to flourish in 2024, thanks to his role in “The Tale of Lady Ok”, where he acted alongside actress Lim Ji-yeon.
