Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” tour lit up Goyang Stadium, but it wasn’t just the music that stole the show it was a full-on celebrity spectacle. From BIGBANG legends to BLACKPINK’s brightest, the April 22 concert saw K-pop’s biggest names gathering to cheer on the British rock band.
Taeyang was an unexpected highlight. Not only did Chris Martin hilariously shout, “Yeoreobun~ neomu bogo sipeosseoyo~” (“Everyone~ I really missed you~”), mimicking a viral Korean meme, but it turns out Taeyang himself was in the crowd when it happened. He later posted on Instagram: “Hey Coldplay… I missed you too.” Fans went wild over the wholesome interaction.
TWICE’s Jihyo, the mastermind behind Chris Martin’s meme moment, revealed on Bubble, “I told Chris to say it! I knew Korean fans would love it! I’m sooo happy he actually did it today LOL.” She followed up with another cheeky message: “I’ll teach you another meme next time, hyung~” complete with a photo.
The night also saw appearances from G-Dragon, Code Kunst, and Jung Hae-in. Though fan-favorites like Hwang Kwang-hee and Jung Hyung-don were missed, the A-list turnout was enough to spark a frenzy.
But the ultimate scene-stealer? BLACKPINK’s Rosé. She surprised fans mid-show with a live guest performance, debuting her unreleased track “APT.” with Bruno Mars. Her vocals, the crowd’s thunderous sing-alongs, and the magical stage presence sent chills through the stadium.
