WINNER’s Mino Denies Accusations of Military Service Violation, Colleague Said Otherwise?

According to broadcasting station SBS, Song Min-ho appeared at the police station on the 23rd and was investigated. During the investigation, he refuted allegations of improper conduct during his alternative military service and stated that he “served properly.”

The police plan to call Song Min-ho in soon for re-investigation.

Meanwhile, previously on Dec 27th, SBS’s “Curious Stories Y” delved into the allegations of negligence during Song Mino’s alternative military service.

Song Mino began serving as a public service worker in March last year. However, after being discharged, he now finds himself at the center of controversy. Allegations have surfaced that he failed to properly report to his designated workplace, a resident convenience facility, and neglected his assigned duties.

The production team was able to meet Seong-hyun (alias), who claims to have worked alongside Song Mino for about a year. During this time, Song Mino was in charge of dealing with civil petitioners at a public corporation that manages public parking lots and convenience facilities and delivering notices to the post office.

However, Seong-hyun pointed out some questionable aspects of Song Mino’s work performance. He claimed that Song Mino did not properly carry out phone or face-to-face duties, citing his status as a well-known “celebrity” as the reason. According to Seong-hyun, “He avoided phone duties because his name would be revealed” and “He also avoided interacting directly with visitors, saying they might recognize his face.”

Moreover, Song Mino frequently used his allotted vacation and sick leave, resulting in prolonged absences from work. On his official discharge date, Dec 23rd, he once again called in sick and failed to report to work. Could there have been unavoidable personal circumstances behind his behavior? Song Mino had previously disclosed on a broadcast that he suffers from panic disorder and bipolar disorder. In light of this, the facility adjusted his working hours to accommodate him, allowing him to start at 10 AM and finish at 7 PM. However, suspicions deepened when it was revealed that he attended his younger sibling’s wedding in San Francisco in May last year, during his service period, and traveled to Hawaii in October this year.

There were further questionable circumstances. In March 2024, roughly a year after starting his alternative service at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation, Song Mino transferred to a resident convenience facility. Notably, the supervisor managing Song Mino also transferred to the same convenience facility in February. This has led to speculation about the relationship between the two.
