Last Kakaotalk Message Of The Late Wheesung Revealed, “See You Again After Recording”

On March 15th, singer Shin Ye-ji shared a photo and mentioned the late singer Wheesung, saying “The last Kakaotalk conversation I had with Wheesung was at 2 a.m on March 10th, 2025. I still didn’t know anything until then. I didn’t know that the pizza we ate together was the last meal of your life. This is so sad and heartbreaking. I still can’t accept this. You said you’d meet me again after finishing the recording, but it was the day of our last goodbye. Please rest in peace in heaven. I will pray for you. I really miss you Choi Hwi-sung”.

The released photo shows messages that Shin Ye-ji and Wheesung had before the male singer passed away. Wheesung said, “I ate pizza after a long time. It was so delicious”, adding “Thank you for coming. See you again after the recording”.
The funeral hall was prepared on the morning of March 14 at Samsung Medical Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, following Wheesung’s passing on March 10.
A portrait of Wheesung, smiling brightly, greeted mourners, and at the entrance, a banner read, “Artist Wheesung, he will remain forever in our hearts as a shining star.”

Numerous artists, including IU, BTS, Lena Park, Baby V.O.X, Zico, Naul, Jeong Joon-il, Lee Hyun-do, TWICE, Lee Hyo-ri, HIGHLIGHT (formerly known as BEAST) and YG Entertainment, sent floral tributes in honor of the late singer. Additionally, KCM, who had prepared joint concerts with Wheesung, and g.o.d’s Kim Tae-woo, who was active in the same era, personally visited the funeral hall to pay their respects.

Fans who had laughed and cried through Wheesung’s music also gathered to mourn. A floral tribute from Wheesung’s fan community was placed at the entrance, with messages such as “Rest in peace until we meet again” and “Our eternal singer”, deepening the sorrow.

Meanwhile, Wheesung passed away at his home in Seoul on March 10 at the age of 43. The funeral procession took place at 6 a.m. on March 16, and after that, at 7 a.m., the male singer was buried at the Gwangneung Park.
