Following this, the excitement will continue with back-to-back events on November 22 and 23 at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome in Japan (at 4PM KST and 6PM KST, accordingly).
Adding to the growing anticipation, global superstar Bruno Mars and Rosé have been announced as part of the lineup, capturing widespread attention.
Bruno Mars and Rosé’s much-anticipated performance will take place during Chapter 1 of the event on Friday, November 22, at Osaka’s Kyocera Dome. Their appearance is expected to further elevate the buzz surrounding the ‘2024 MAMA AWARDS.’

Byeon Woo-seok also confirmed as the main character to appear on the exclusive stage of the 2024 MAMA Awards, which will be held at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan. Byeon Woo-seok gained widespread popularity through tvN’s “Lovely Runner”, where he played Ryu Sun-jae, the lead vocalist of the band “Eclipse”. The show ended last May, and its OST “Sudden Shower”, sung by Byeon Woo-seok himself, became a sensation, entering domestic music charts and even the Billboard charts. Fans are thrilled to see Byeon Woo-seok take the exclusive stage at the 2024 MAMA Awards, recognizing his efforts to repay the love he’s received from fans.
Exciting Nominations
Recently, MAMA announced its nominations for this year. The focus is on new generation groups and top solo artists. Key categories like Best Male/Female Group and Best Solo Artist feature well-known names, making the voting competition among fandoms even more intense.

SEVENTEEN and aespa lead the nominations, with SEVENTEEN predicted to win Album of the Year for “Seventeenth Heaven,” which sold over 5.7 million copies. aespa is a strong contender for Song of the Year with their hit “Supernova.”
Jung Kook and his debut album “GOLDEN” are also highly anticipated, as fans aim for him to win major awards.
Rookie Battle
In the Best New Artist category, three female groups—ILLIT, BABYMONSTER, and MEOVV—are in fierce competition. ILLIT currently holds the record for a successful debut, while BABYMONSTER has strong fan support.

A Chance for Redemption?
MAMA aims to regain its popularity after recent years of decline. In 2023, it was labeled a “flop” due to low excitement. This year, with an impressive lineup and nominations, MAMA is determined to bounce back.
The first lineup announcement includes ILLIT, KATSEYE, and RIIZE for the USA, and aespa, IVE, ENHYPEN, and others for Japan. Rumors suggest BIGBANG and G-Dragon will perform at MAMA 2024, which has fans buzzing.
