Crayon Pop’s Soyul “Parenting is harder than being an idol, no plans for a third child”

On Oct 29th, Soyul held an “Ask Me Anything” session to answer fan questions. When asked which was harder, idol activities or parenting, Soyul responded, “Parenting is tougher. There’s no clear answer. I’m doing my best, but every day is challenging. I’m trying hard to do my best in my own way. I have two kids now, a boy and a girl, so it’s even harder.”

When asked if she had plans for a third child, she replied, “Not yet. My second child is still young, and I like the balance with a boy and a girl now.” She sympathized with working moms trying to juggle parenting and work, saying, “I’m just one person with one body, trying to do it all. There’s so much to do, and time is tight. I wish I had a couple of extra hours each day. I truly respect working moms and dads.”

She continued, “But it’s amazing, isn’t it? We get through it. In the end, we’re doing it. On a chaotic day, take at least five or ten minutes for yourself, or enjoy a snack you like. When the kids grow up, you’ll have more time. I’m planning to take up some hobbies when they’re older.” She added, “I thought I’d be able to rest when the kids went to kindergarten, but there’s still so much to do, right? I totally agree! Yes, yes! I also have so much to do from morning—like cooking and laundry—but after eight years, I’m able to do it really quickly.”

Meanwhile, Soyul married H.O.T.’s Moon Hee-joon in 2017, overcoming a 13-year age difference, and they have a son and a daughter. Their sudden marriage announcement, without any prior dating rumors, drew attention at the time. Moon Hee-joon later appeared on KBS 2TV’s variety show “The Return of Superman”, sharing his life as a dad, which gained much love from viewers.
