Dahyun Stuns in Wedding Photos
On March 5th, TWICE’s Dahyun posted a photo with the caption, “Seon-ah getting married. #YouAretheAppleofMyEye.” (Seon-ah here refers to Dahyun’s role in her latest acting project, the Korean adaptation of “You Are the Apple of My Eye”), showing a scene from the TWICE’s member film debut.
Accordingly, in the photo, Dahyun transformed into a beautiful bride full of innocence, wearing a pure white dress and a tiara. The bride’s excitement was fully conveyed through her shy smile. Dahyun’s pure white skin also made the dress shine even more. In particular, Dahyun caught people’s attention by showing off her slender body in a dress that revealed her shoulder line.
Dahyun’s thoughts on her first kiss scene with Jinyoung
To commemorate the release of “You Are the Apple of My Eye” (directed by Cho Young-myoung), Dahyun held an interview at a café in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of Feb 27th.
“You Are the Apple of My Eye” tells the first love story of Jin-woo (Jinyoung), a 18-year-old boy who spends countless days before confessing to Seon-ah (Dahyun). The film is a remake of the 2011 Taiwanese romance film of the same name.
Dahyun, who has received immense love as a member of TWICE, made her big-screen acting debut through “You Are the Apple of My Eye”.
In her first-ever film, Dahyun took on a wide range of emotions, from tearful emotional scenes to depicting the passage of time from teenage years into adulthood, a wedding scene, and, of course, her kiss scene with Jinyoung.
Previously, in an interview on the same day, Jinyoung admitted he was worried about TWICE fans’ reactions to his kiss scene with Dahyun.
When asked whether she had similar concerns while preparing for the scene, Dahyun responded, “Since this was my first time experiencing emotional acting, building up emotions and even doing a kiss scene, I was nervous and overwhelmed by all of it. It wasn’t just the kiss scene every scene made me anxious.”
She continued, “But Jinyoung has already paved his way as an actor and is also a senior in the music industry, so he made me feel very comfortable. Plus, the director and I had many conversations, and I trusted her direction a lot.”
TWICE members’ reactions shared on Bubble
Dahyun also shared the reactions of her fans and fellow TWICE members regarding her kiss scene. She said, “We have a messaging platform called Bubble where we communicate with our fans. Each member uses Bubble individually, and I once saw fans messaging the members about my kiss scene.” She revealed, “Apparently, a fan asked one of our members, ‘Dahyun has a kiss scene, are you okay with that?’ That member replied, ‘Ah, I feel uneasy about it too.’ Then they added, ‘Just close your eyes during that part.’“
Regarding her members’ reactions, Dahyun said, “The older sisters have known me since I was really young, so I think that’s why. They still see me as their little sister, as a baby. But I understand how they feel because I had a similar experience with Tzuyu, our youngest member, when she recently released her solo album and had her first music show recording.” She reminisced, “On Tzuyu’s first solo music show recording day, I went to support her. Seeing her confidently fill the stage on her own for the first time made me so proud. I also felt admiration for how hard she had worked, especially early in the morning. Watching our youngest bravely perform alone in front of so many people made me genuinely proud and eager to cheer her on.” Dahyun concluded, “I think the older sisters felt the same way about me as I did about Tzuyu.”
