On December 22, an incident occurred at a shop in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province, where an 80-year-old man scratched Hwang Kwang-hee’s Mercedes-Benz while pulling out of a parking space. What stood out, however, was Hwang Kwang-hee’s gracious response.
According to a tip shared by the elderly man’s family with MHN Sports, Hwang Kwang-hee reassured the man, saying, “This car is old anyway, so it’s fine. Just remove your contact information and go.”
When contacted, Hwang Kwang-hee’s agency, Bonboo ENT, confirmed the incident. “Hwang Kwang-hee had parked briefly in Ilsan when an elderly man accidentally scratched his car,” the agency representative said.
The representative elaborated, “It was cold at the time, and he didn’t want the elderly man to worry. Kwang-hee mentioned that his car wasn’t in great condition and told the man not to stress and just leave.”
This heartwarming act of kindness has further endeared Hwang Kwang-hee to fans, adding to his reputation as a beloved celebrity.

Hwang Kwang-hee’s long-standing friendship with G-Dragon, also born in 1988, has recently been in the spotlight again. Their bond began during MBC’s “Yeongdong Highway Music Festival” in 2015, where they performed as the group “Hwangtaeji” (Hwang Kwanghee, Taeyang, and G-Dragon).
On October 30, G-Dragon appeared on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block”, where he and Hwang Kwang-hee exchanged words of encouragement, delighting fans. On December 19, Hwang Kwang-hee also shared a photo on social media wearing a daisy-adorned hat gifted by G-Dragon.
