Divorcing her ex-husband 10 years ago, actress Kim Bo-yeon recently met him again in a drama
After divorcing, celebrities often avoid facing each other in public. However, there is a rare case in which two actors were cast in the same project even after their divorce. They are Jeon No-min and Kim Bo-yeon.
Actress Kim Bo-yeon recently appeared on a talk show and talked about the experience of working with her ex-husband Jeon No-min in the 2022 drama “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)”. The two got married in 2004 but divorced in 2012. 10 years after their divorce, they met again as co-stars.
In the drama, Jeon No-min plays Lee Si-eun (Jeon Soo-kyung)’s husband Park Hae-ryun, while Kim Bo-yeon appears as Shin Yoo-shin (Lee Tae-gon)’s stepmother Kim Dong-mi. In fact, their characters have nothing to do with each other so they didn’t have many joint scenes. However, they still met on the set.
Revealing that she felt awkward in such situations, Kim Bo-yeon shared, “Meeting each other again for the first time after our divorce, I felt a little weird. To describe our relationship, we are neither strangers nor senior and junior. However, I thought people around us, such as the director and staff, would feel awkward when being with us if I didn’t do anything. That’s why I came to meet him and asked how he had been doing”.
Despite that, Kim Bo-yeon still admitted that it was not easy to act with her ex-husband. She couldn’t look straight into his eyes when doing the pair scene and had to look somewhere else without affecting the filming process. The actress even praised the chemistry of Jeon No-min and another actress.
