DKB’s About

The group name of DKB is short for “Dark Brown Eyes”, while their fandom name, BB, is short for DKB’s Bestie. Yuku is the only non-Korean member in the group.

Pre-Debut Buzz

Anticipation for DKB started in September 2019, when Brave Entertainment launched a teaser Twitter account. With promotional videos like “Move the Crowd” and “Keep Your Head Up,” fans were introduced to the group through a series of film clips, behind-the-scenes images, and studio practice footage. This strategic rollout sparked interest ahead of their formal debut.

Post Debut 

On February 3, 2020, DKB officially debuted with the mini album “Youth and the title track “Sorry Mama.” The group continued momentum with their 2nd mini album “Love in May, and introduced their official fandom name, BB. They made their Japanese debut in July with a localized version of “Youth. Their third mini album “Growth followed in October, showcasing the group’s maturing style.

DKB released their first full-length album, “The Dice is Cast”, in March 2021, further cementing their sound. Their participation in the 2021 Dream Concert highlighted their growing popularity. Later that year, they dropped their first single album “Rollercoaster” in October.

In 2022, DKB unveiled their fourth and fifth mini albums: “Rebel in April and “Autumn in August. Both showcased their versatile performance skills and emotional range, appealing to both domestic and global fans.

“Peak Time” Appearance & Restructure

DKB made headlines in 2023 as a contestant on JTBC’s “Peak Time”, where they ultimately placed fourth. They also made a Japanese comeback released their sixth mini album “I Need Love” in June. Its repackage, “We Love You”, came in August. Notably, they contributed the digital single “The Wave” for Korea’s National Sports Festival.

Following Teo’s departure, the group reorganized as eight members and released their seventh mini album “Hip on November 30.

In July 2024, DKB dropped their eighth mini album “Urban Ride”, continuing their musical evolution. Unfortunately, member Lune announced a hiatus later that month due to health concerns, stepping back from promotions and the group’s world tour.

DKB’s Controversies

On October 30, 2023, former member Teo was caught by the police for drunk-driving, resulting in his license being revoked. As a result, it was announced on November 6 that Teo would be removed from the group.
