Trivia

Jake moved back to Korea from Australia in June 2019, likely to prepare for his trainee life. He is known to have trained for 9 months before his appearance on “I-LAND”. The male idol was the only one selected out of 500 applicants in Belift Lab’s global audition in Australia.
Jake is known to be deeply involved in music even before his debut. He played the violin for 4 years, was in the school orchestra, and also played bass at his church in Australia. Additionally, he is currently learning to play the guitar

- Starbucks Controversy
In January 2024, Jake was criticized by international fans after he was spotted drinking Starbucks in a livestream. At the time, Starbucks was deemed a target for boycott due to the brand allegedly showing support for Israel despite the country’s war crimes in Palestine.
Jake later addressed the matter himself, claiming that he “made a mistake” and that such a situation “won’t happen again”.
- Bar Hostess Controversy

In April 2024, a fan shared a photo of Jake and another ENHYPEN member taking a picture with a hostess and owner of a famous Japanese kyabakura bar.
In the end, ENHYPEN’s agency explained the situation via an interview, saying that ENHYPEN met the hostess for the first time there and didn’t know who she was. They also insisted that the hostess was just among many people who asked for a picture with the members.
