On November 19, 2021, he said, “I apologize for my words during yesterday’s V Live, which didn’t consider the feelings of those preparing for the exam. I was excited to meet ENGENE after so long and failed to think of the students. I realize I am still immature and lacking. I will be more thoughtful in the future.”

On December 11, 2024, a topic titled “aespa’s Winter and ENHYPEN’s Jungwon spotted dating” was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate, alleging that Winter and Jungwon were on a secret date and attaching related footage. The topic then gained massive attention before it got deleted, sparking dating rumors between Winter and Jungwon.
