Epik High’s Tukutz Rescues a Security Guard in His 60s, Recommended for a Brave Citizen Award

According to JTBC’s “Crime Chief” in January, an incident occurred in an apartment complex in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where a security guard in his 60s was severely beaten after confronting a delivery worker who had entered the complex despite the absence of a ground-level parking lot.

A witness stated, “The delivery worker attacked the security guard, saying, ‘Don’t you know who I am?’ while throwing punches and kicking him indiscriminately. Although a resident ran over to stop the assault, the delivery worker ignored them and continued his attack before fleeing the scene.”
The assaulted security guard sustained severe facial injuries and was diagnosed with a recovery period of more than three weeks, forcing him to stop working.
Amidst this, it was belatedly revealed that the resident who immediately rushed to help after hearing the security guard’s plea for assistance was none other than Epik High’s Tukutz.

Tukutz himself brought up the incident in a YouTube video released on March 26, saying, “I was on the news,” while showing the news clip to his fellow members.
After the video was released, many netizens voiced their support, saying, “Tukutz deserves a Brave Citizen Award.”
