Korean Singer Wins Court Case Against Husband’s Mistress After Public Betrayal

On June 13, South Korean singer Eun Jong better known by her stage name SILVERBELL publicly revealed her divorce from fellow musician Yoon DDan DDan. In a moving statement, she disclosed a deeply personal story of betrayal, domestic violence, and legal victory, shedding light on the emotional trauma that ended their marriage.
Once praised as a musical power couple, SILVERBELL and Yoon DDan DDan’s relationship took a devastating turn when Eun Jong discovered her husband’s ongoing affair. Despite her efforts to salvage the marriage, she found herself repeatedly hurt as Yoon DDan DDan maintained contact with the other woman even during legal proceedings.

“We are currently in the process of negotiating our divorce,” SILVERBELL wrote. “Throughout this entire ordeal, he has never offered a sincere apology.” She also alleged that domestic abuse played a significant role in the breakdown of the marriage, citing both emotional and physical harm.
In a rare but powerful move, Eun Jong took legal action not only against her husband but also his mistress. Under South Korea’s adultery compensation laws, spouses can sue a third party for damages caused by an extramarital affair. SILVERBELL’s successful lawsuit has reignited national conversations about emotional abuse, infidelity, and legal accountability in marital disputes.

Best known for songs like Smile, Reset, and The Hare and The Tortoise, SILVERBELL is currently undergoing psychological therapy to recover from the scars left by the toxic relationship. Meanwhile, Yoon DDan DDan renowned for hits such as The Night I Miss You, Walking Through Winter, and Me, Trying Hard – You, Unknowable has remained silent on the matter, facing growing public criticism.
