EVERGLOW Members Leave Yuehua Entertainment After Unpaid Debut Years, Deny Disbandment

According to an exclusive report by Star Today, all six members of EVERGLOW: E:U, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha and Yiren have decided not to renew their contracts with Yuehua Entertainment and will pursue individual paths in the entertainment industry.
Yuehua Entertainment announced on May 13, “After careful discussions, EVERGLOW and our company have agreed to support each other’s futures and pursue separate paths. Accordingly, the exclusive contract will terminate as of June 2025.”
The statement continued, “We sincerely support EVERGLOW’s new beginning, having shared many memories and journeyed together over the years. We will warmly cheer for their future endeavors. We kindly ask fans to offer warm encouragement for the new journeys each member will embark on.”
However, Sihyeon and Onda refuted these rumors during a live broadcast, stating, “The contract termination is true, but we are not disbanding.”
EVERGLOW debuted in March 2019 and quickly gained international recognition with hits like “Bon Bon Chocolat” and “DUN DUN”. Their dynamic performances and strong visuals earned them a dedicated global fanbase. However, the group experienced a decline in group activities in recent years, releasing only two singles, “SLAY” in 2023 and “ZOMBIE” in 2024, following a year-long hiatus in 2022. Member Yiren also faced multiple controversies, including public backlash for expressing support for the “One China” policy and refusing to perform a traditional Korean bow.

Tensions between EVERGLOW and Yuehua became more apparent in March 2025, when Yiren revealed on a fan communication platform that none of the members had received any payments since their debut. Expressing her frustration, she said, “I love performing on stage, but I haven’t earned any income. Even so, I don’t want to give up this career.”

The news has sparked mixed reactions among fans. Discussions on forums like Reddit reflect both disappointment with Yuehua’s management and support for the members’ future endeavors. Comments from netizens include:
- I just hope they find a better company now. These talented girls deserved way more. Screw you Yuehua
- The whole management of this group was a mess from the start until the end. They deserved way better and could have been huge but you’re a piece of shit. I’m glad they can finally be free from you. Let’s never meet again
- I hope they’ll be able to redebut somewhere else.

As EVERGLOW prepares to close this chapter with Yuehua Entertainment, fans remain hopeful that the members will find new opportunities to showcase their talents. Whether through solo ventures or future group activities, their passion and dedication continue to resonate with global audiences.
