Evidence of ENHYPEN’s Jungwon Smoking & Dating aespa’s Winter Emerge? Suspected Foul Play
Recently, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon and aespa’s Winter were entangled in dating rumors, with allegations of them going to a bar together.
Shortly after these rumors emerged, the two’s agencies – Belift Lab and SM Entertainment, quickly shot down the rumors as “completely unfounded”, and even threatened legal actions. On top of that, SM revealed that the individual who distributed the photos attempted to contact a media outlet with the intention of financial gain.
However, a day has barely passed when new alleged “evidence” of Jungwon and Winter’s relationship emerged – as listed in a viral post on Chinese SNS platform Douban.
In particular, sasaengs who had Jungwon and Winter’s number claimed that the two’s display names match, with Winter using the Korean character ‘ㅇ’ and Jungwon using ‘d’, two letters with the same position on the keyboard.
Additionally, Jungwon was accused of texting Winter during a Prada event via the chatting app Messenger to avoid being recognized via KakaoTalk’s signature yellow messaging Bubble. They even entered the stars’ alleged number and found that both of them have registered a Messenger account, claiming that this is a piece of evidence.
According to sasaengs, Jungwon also has a private Instagram account, which follow both Winter’s Instagram and a meme page followed by Winter.
Finally, they published footage and accused Jungwon of leaving his dorm on October 25, 2024 to call for a cab. The sasaengs then allegedly followed the cab and saw Jungwon get off either an apartment or a hotel’s car park near SM Entertainment, fueling dating rumors with Winter.
On top of this, on the same day the Douban post was posted, there were footage allegedly of Jungwon smoking on the street popping up, leading to criticisms.
Considering that Jungwon has been constantly attacked by rumors, and even his groupmate, Jay, fell victim to dating accusations, many are suspecting that ENHYPEN is falling under continuous malicious attacks for foul play.
