On April 1, a video featuring Kai as a guest was uploaded to the YouTube channel “TEO”, where he shared his experiences after recently completing his alternative service as a public service worker.
Host Jang Do-yeon asked Kai about his time working at a dementia center.
Kai responded “I got really close with the staff. One time, someone told me, ‘I really like Do Kyung-soo. Have you ever met him?’”, drawing laughter as Do Kyung-soo is the real name of D.O., his fellow EXO member.
He continued, “I ate lunch with the staff and even joined company dinners. I received about five days of special leave, which you can get through an evaluation — and I passed it. It’s something I’m proud of. Even when it wasn’t my assigned duty, I helped wash dishes, clean, and took care of the elderly.”
Kai added with a smile, “The staff often asked if I knew IVE’s Jang Wonyoung. I told them I don’t. Unfortunately, I’m not acquainted with her. The elderly asked a lot about Lim Young-woong.”
