“Family by Choice” Defeats “When the Phone Rings”, Dominates November Ranking?
According to the FUNdex released by Good Data Corporation, Hwang In-yeop secured the #1 spot in the drama actor buzzworthiness category for the third week of November.
This marks Hwang In-yeop’s first time topping the drama actor buzz rankings. After the conclusion of the tvN drama “Jeong Nyeon” (also known as “Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born”) on November 17, buzz shifted to the JTBC drama “Family by Choice”.
JTBC’s “Family by Choice” tells the story of three young people—Kim San-ha (Hwang In-yeop), Yoon Joo-won (Jung Chae-yeon), and Kang Hae-joon (Bae Hyun-sung)—who are not blood-related but grew up together like family during their childhood years. Despite the lack of famous lead actors or significant production investment, it has been performing well on global OTT platforms.
Meanwhile, Bae Hyun-sung and Jung Chae-yeon, who co-stars with Hwang In-yeop in “Family by Choice”, ranked #2 and #3, respectively. In addition, Yoo Yeon-seok and Chae Soo-bin, the leads of MBC’s “When the Phone Rings”, ranked #4 and #5, respectively.
