On May 22, a Chinese fanbase of aespa’s Giselle sent a protest truck to the SM Entertainment building. The protest truck was used to voice fans’ frustration about SM’s alleged mistreatment towards Giselle, especially following the recent incident about Giselle’s controversial top on the TV show “Amazing Saturday”.
It also called out SM Entertainment for poorly styling Giselle and giving the female idols meager lines and screen time compared to other aespa members.

Particularly, the truck display the following messages:
- GISELLE doesn’t need to apologize. A company that only knows how to avoid responsibility has no future.
- Treat GISELLE fairly, meet the demands of the fans, respect and protect her!
- Reject unreasonable clothing arrangements! The company should respect and protect female artists!
- Pay attention to GISELLE’s physical and mental health instead of letting her suffer.
- Give GISELLE reasonable lines and screen time as the main rapper! Arrange reasonable makeup, provide equal resource opportunities, handle GISELLE’s personal information accurately, and don’t disappoint the fans!
At the same time, the truck also show affection towards Giselle with messages like love you to the moon and back and describing the female idol as someone who “continuously progresses and shines on stage”.
