Recently, Girls’ Generation Taeyeon expressed her frustration through the official fan communication platform Bubble after a male fan created a disturbance during her album signing event. The fan went to Taeyeon, threw an album on her desk and demanded her phone number, prompting security to intervene.
Taeyeon confessed, “I was surprised earlier. I really worked hard to make this album. I can’t forget him throwing it in front of me. Everyone who came today must have been surprised. Please go home safely. I’m heartbroken.”
This is not an isolated case, as similar incidents have occurred before. In 2017, girl group GFRIEND faced an issue where a male fan used a hidden camera during a fan signing event.
Another incident involved NMIXX Sullyoon, who shed tears after a fan’s complaint during a fan signing event. The fan accused Sullyoon of not paying attention to his camera, leading to a public apology from the fan afterward.
These incidents highlight the need for fans to respect the boundaries and privacy of idols during such events. The artists work hard to create meaningful interactions with their fans, and disruptive behavior can have a lasting impact on both the artists and the entire fandom.
