Fans are divided over the way Hyuna and Yong Jin-hyung publicized their romantic relationship in their own way
On January 18th, Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung shared photos of them holding hands and walking together on SNS, sparking dating rumors. The two did not directly confirm whether they were dating or not, but Hyuna drew attention as she posted a comment, saying “Please look at us warmly”.
Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung have known each other for a long time. They used to be colleagues under the same label, CUBE Entertainment, and Yong Jun-hyung even featured in Hyuna’s solo song “Change” in 2010.
After the two’s SNS posts, a netizen disclosed that they saw them at a shopping mall together a few days ago and the two were found to have visited a restaurant in November last year. Both Hyuna and Yong Jun-hyung’s agencies refused to comment on their romantic relationship, stating that it was their artists’ private life matters.

Some long-time fanbases also closed and stopped supporting the female singer after she publicized her romance with Yong Jun-hyung.
Reactions are divided because Yong Jun-hyung used to be criticized for his involvement in Jung Joon-young’s scandal back in 2015. At that time, Yong Jun-hyung sparked controversy as he received illegal videos filmed and shared by Jung Joon-young and eventually withdrew from HIGHLIGHT (formerly BEAST). At the press conference to commemorate the release of his EP “Loner” in November last year, he said, “I did not participate in any of the group chat rooms by Jung Joon-young. Meanwhile, Hyuna debuted as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007 but then left the team and re-debuted in 4Minute. She’s currently active as a solo singer. Yong Jun-hyung made his debut as part of BEAST in 2009.
