Park Sung-hoon, who previously played the role of Jeon Jae-joon in “The Glory“, is creating his new “character of a lifetime” by taking on the role of Yoon Eun-sung in “Queen of Tears“.

In “The Glory”, Park Sung-hoon portrayed Jeon Jae-joon, who is closest to Park Yeon-jin (Lim Ji-yeon) and serves as her illicit lover. He created a legendary filmography with his performance.

Park Sung-hoon perfectly transformed into the ruthless character Jeon Jae-joon, armed with aggressive language and violence, drawing praise for his portrayal of a villain character. In the latter part of the drama, he displayed poignant paternal emotions upon discovering that Ye-sol was his daughter.

Subsequently, Park Sung-hoon appeared in “Not Others” and “The Kidnapping Day”, showcasing his stable acting skills. However, he could not surpass the impact of Jeon Jae-joon in “The Glory”. Nevertheless, Park Sung-hoon is once again refreshing his filmography with his villain character in “Queen of Tears”.

In “Queen of Tears”, Park Sung-hoon portrays Yoon Eun-sung, who has been planning an ambitious scheme for a long time to swallow up the Queens family.

Initially introduced as Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won)’s longtime friend and a capable former Wall Street analyst and M&A expert, Yoon Eun-sung’s ambiguous words towards Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) and deliberate approach to the Queens family aroused curiosity.

As the drama progresses, Yoon Eun-sung begins to reveal his true colors, intensifying the tension in “Queen of Tears”. Park Sung-hoon’s dualistic portrayal of Yoon Eun-sung, switching from gentle smile to crazy gaze and fishy smile, heightened the tension of the drama.

As the drama approaches its latter half, Park Sung-hoon’s character ventures further into villainous acts. Particularly, Yoon Eun-sung’s escalating actions, such as threatening to make Baek Hyun-woo a hostage and coercing Hong Hae-in into marriage out of distorted affection, depict a new villain character based on madness and obsession.
