fromis_9 is officially making their long-awaited return this June with a brand-new release that promises to capture the essence of summer. This marks the group’s first comeback under their new agency, Ascend, following their exclusive contract signed earlier this year.
Ascend confirmed on May 20 that fromis_9 is preparing a summer-themed album that will showcase their unique charm and energetic sound. This release comes six months after their last project, the special single “from,” which dropped in December 2024.
This upcoming comeback holds extra significance as it will be fromis_9’s first project under Ascend’s management. Since joining the agency, the group has already teased fans with updated profiles and a concept film.
Their previous single, Supersonic, released in August 2024, became a massive hit and remains on various digital charts. The track solidified fromis_9’s status as rising “summer queens,” and expectations are high for them to continue this momentum.
Individual members have also remained active: Lee Chaeyoung has been featured as a model for a fashion brand, while Baek Jiheon appeared in singer Park Jae-jung’s music video Autobiography, marking her acting debut. Additionally, Song Hayoung and Baek Jiheon brought their star power to the baseball field, participating in ceremonial pitch and batting events for KBO League games.
