G-Dragon and Kim Soo-hyun’s First Meeting “I’ve Never Felt This Before” (Good Day)
Premiering on Feb 16th, “Good Day” (directed by Kim Tae-ho, produced by TEO) is a music project where G-Dragon collaborates with various figures to create the song of the year. The show captures the reality of G-Dragon producing music while integrating the stories of different people.
A pre-release clip for episode 1 shows G-Dragon, Jo Se-ho and Code Kunst traveling in a car. Jo Se-ho hints about their upcoming guest, telling G-Dragon, “He’s the same age as you. I worked on a project with him, and he spends most of his alone time working out.”
The mystery guest is revealed to be actor Kim Soo-hyun, who greets them with a tense expression at his agency’s private gym. Surprisingly, G-Dragon and Kim Soo-hyun weren’t complete strangers—they had previously exchanged phone numbers. G-Dragon shared a funny anecdote about mistakenly calling Kim Soo-hyun instead of his company’s advisor, who had the same name, leading to an awkward three-to-four-minute conversation.
To break the ice, they moved toward the gym equipment. A fitness enthusiast, Kim Soo-hyun demonstrated a hip-strengthening exercise that involved an intense leg stretch, leaving G-Dragon wide-eyed in amusement. Their workout session quickly helped them bond, with G-Dragon commenting, “I’ve never felt this before.“
Kim Soo-hyun also showed his admiration for G-Dragon’s recent global performance, “It was really amazing.” G-Dragon, caught off guard, shyly reacted to the praise.
This meeting marks the beginning of the “88 Universe”, bringing together other celebrities born in 1988, including Jung Hae-in, Im Si-wan, Lee Soo-hyuk and Kwanghee.
The episode will also revisit the nostalgic atmosphere of past year-end music festivals, with G-Dragon taking the lead in recreating the experience. He will be supported by a planning team consisting of Jung Hyung-don, Defconn, Jo Se-ho and Code Kunst.
MBC’s “Good Day” will premiere on Feb 16th at 9:10 PM KST.
