G-Dragon reveals his songwriting inspiration “When I broke up or even just sat down and stood up”
G-Dragon appears in the preview for tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” (“You Quiz”), which was released on October 23rd.
During his long-awaited return to variety shows, G-Dragon warmly embraced Yoo Jae-suk, with whom he has a close friendship, and humorously remarked “Why am I doing this?“, causing laughter.
He also teased part of his new song, piquing Yoo Jae-suk’s interest. However, G-Dragon only revealed a small portion of the song, prompting Yoo Jae-suk to express disappointment, “You’re only going to let us hear this much?“
G-Dragon reminisced about his songwriting process for hits like “Lies”, “Fantastic Baby” and “Bang Bang Bang”, “I would write songs whenever I broke up or even just sat down and stood up.” He also shared memories from his trainee days with Taeyang, “We used to gather and eat the food left behind by the older trainees.” He further unveiled the backstory of the episode when Jo Se-ho desperately called out “Jiyong” in Paris in 2017.
In particular, G-Dragon will share various anecdotes, including a surprise phone call he made to Yoo Jae-suk during his military service and the appearance of a special guest during the “You Quiz” recording.
