Garo Sero Insists on Holding Kim Soo-hyun Accountable Despite Late Kim Sae-ron’s Ex-boyfriend Speaking Out
On March 25, Garo Sero posted, “Kim Soo-hyun, who began dating actress Kim Sae-ron in 2015 when she was in her second year of middle school. Please wait just a little longer to see what punishment will be handed down to him.”
Garo Sero, which claims to only release photos with the permission of the bereaved family, added, “Kim Sae-ron was in her third year of middle school in 2016, which means she was a minor. Please don’t forget that fact.” They further stated, “The bereaved family has already made their decision, so now it’s just a matter of time.”
Kim Sae-ron was found dead in her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16, the same day as actor Kim Soo-hyun’s birthday. Following her passing, Kim Sae-ron’s family alleged through Garo Sero that she had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun when she was still a minor.
Kim Soo-hyun initially denied the dating rumors but later admitted to dating Kim Sae-ron from mid-2019 to late 2020, after she became an adult. The conflict intensified when Garo Sero released a pantsless photo of Kim Soo-hyun, which his team condemned as “sexual humiliation,” leading them to pursue legal action against Garo Sero and Kim Sae-ron’s family.
Amid the ongoing controversy, an individual claiming to be Kim Sae-ron’s ex-boyfriend came forward. A stated that he had dated Kim Sae-ron in the past and asserted, “I know that Kim Sae-ron did not die because of Kim Soo-hyun.” Instead, he attributed her tragic death to familial neglect and domestic violence from her husband, further fueling public debate.
Adding to the tragedy, Kim Sae-ron’s financial struggles were also brought to light. On March 25, a representative from her side confirmed to SPOTV News that her agency had covered her hospital expenses during her lifetime. In November last year, her then-agency paid for her emergency surgery and recorded it as an advance payment. Reports also revealed that Kim Sae-ron had to borrow money for medical bills instead of seeking help from her family, raising further concerns about her difficult personal circumstances.
