G-Dragon has canceled his upcoming concert in Bangkok, expressing sincere apologies to fans. On July 11, his team announced via his official fan page that the “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch] IN BANGKOK,” originally scheduled for August 2, has been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

The statement continued: “We deeply apologize to everyone who had been waiting for this performance and sincerely regret any disappointment and inconvenience caused. We are grateful for the continuous support and patience of our Thai fans.”

Later, on the same day, Galaxy Corporation announced, “Due to the nature of the outdoor venue and considering the safety of the audience amid extreme heat, we have decided to cancel the concert.”

The Bangkok concert was set to take place at Rajamangala National Stadium, one of Thailand’s largest venues and a venue said to pose a high risk for heatstroke. Enthusiasm had surged among local fans well before ticket sales began, with many anticipating a fierce competition to secure seats.

However, before ticketing even started, the show was canceled entirely leaving fans stunned. On social media, posts expressing heartbreak and frustration flooded in: “I waited so long for this…”, “Will we ever get to see GD in Thailand again?”

The sudden cancellation of G-Dragon’s Bangkok concert has triggered an outpouring of outrage and disappointment among fans, both in Thailand and internationally. Many had already booked flights, hotels, and taken time off work to attend the long-awaited show, only to be met with a brief, last-minute announcement. As frustration mounts, netizens have taken to online communities to vent their anger—not just at the abrupt cancellation but also at Galaxy Corporation’s alleged mismanagement of the entire tour. Here’s what Korean netizens are saying on Pann:

  1. What are we supposed to do with the flight and hotel bookings now? This is insane. Local fans must be absolutely furious…
  2. Yeah, this is that old company pretending to be some Galaxy Metaverse avatar thing. They signed a 3-year contract with GD. Meanwhile, the CEO of Galaxy Corporation is just following GD’s concert tour, basically vacationing overseas on GD’s tour profits, lol. If you cancel a venue, you lose the deposit and have to pay penalties. They’re just burning through GD’s money nice and slow.
  3. It’s ridiculous how they kept dragging things out and then suddenly dropped a one-line notice. Fans who took vacation leave and booked flights and hotels are now suffering. Thai fans were even preparing welcome events… they must be livid.
  4. Galaxy Corporation’s handling of this is next-level trash. If they made fans send a protest truck—a truck they never even sent during the YG days—that says it all.
  5. They say it’s an IT company, but they have no tech skills, can’t manage entertainment, and don’t even need to hustle for business. With someone like GD, all they had to do was sit back and manage things properly, but they can’t even do that. I have no idea what basis or conscience they have to keep using GD’s name while trying to hype up their IPO.

Despite the uproar, Galaxy Corporation reiterated that the decision was made “with fan safety as the top priority” and promised to announce an alternative venue and schedule as soon as possible. Although there are no ticket refund issues due to the absence of any sales, many believe the damage to G-Dragon’s public image is significant.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon departed from Incheon Airport to Taipei on July 10 to continue his “2025 World Tour Ubermensch” schedule. His global tour spans 13 countries, including Korea, Australia, Taiwan, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Paris, and the United States.
