(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon Honored with “Popularity Star Award” at the Blue Dragon Series Awards
On July 19th, (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon attended the event held at Paradise City in Incheon, where she was nominated for two categories: Best New Female Entertainer and Popularity Star. The members of (G)I-DLE also performed a celebratory stage.
Miyeon won the TIRTIR Popularity Star Award and shared her joy with fans. She said, “I never imagined I would receive an award. I’m grateful just to be able to attend such a wonderful awards ceremony, and I’m very thankful for this great award. I will take this as a sign to work even harder and be a more diligent Miyeon.”
Previously, Miyeon was one of the panelists of JTBC’s “My Sibling’s Romance”, where she analyzed the participants’ feelings as they formed love lines, enhancing the show’s entertainment and immersion. “My Sibling’s Romance” became the number one content for attracting new paid subscriptions among Wavve’s variety shows, setting its own record.
(G)I-DLE performed the title track “Klaxon” of their 7th mini album “I SWAY”, delivering a high-quality live performance that heated up the atmosphere. They followed with “Fate”, one of this year’s top chart-reversing songs.
The members amazed the audience with their impeccable vocal skills and further intensified the excitement by entering the audience area to encourage participation. The attendees responded by standing up, dancing to the rhythm and singing along.
Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE will continue their comeback promotional activities by appearing on MBC’s “Show! Music Core” today (July 20th).
