(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi mentioned renewing her contract
On February 1st, a video titled “(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi, From K-pop’s Top Tomboy in TOMBOY to Aggro-Pulling SUPER LADY” was uploaded on the ‘Noppakktak Jae-hoon’ channel.
Chinese national Yuqi mentioned that she first came to Korea in 2016 and learned Korean. She also revealed that she holds an E-6 visa for activities in Korea.
During a discussion about social media followers, Yuqi responded, “The company doesn’t allow it” when asked about following on social media. In response, the host, Jae-hoon Tak, asked, “How long is your contract with the company?”
To this, Yuqi laughed heartily, saying, “There’s only 1 year and 3 months left.” Jae-hoon teased her, saying, “You seem excited. It’s a big deal.”
Shin Kyu-jin chimed in, saying, “This is genuine. It’s like when friends in the military count down the days until their discharge. It’s like, ‘Yes! 1 year and 3 months!'”
Upon hearing this, Yuqi brightly laughed and stated, “No, I love Cube.”
(G)I-DLE, the group Yuqi belongs to, debuted in May 2018 as a multinational 5-member girl group with three foreign members. Their second full-length album ‘2’ showcases the members’ enhanced musical abilities, creating a diverse album. Anticipation is high for the group’s activities following the release of the title track “Super Lady” from their second album on January 29th.
