Born in 1971, Go Hyun-jung is now 53 years old. She was crowned runner-up in the 1989 Miss Korea pageant and debuted as an actress through KBS’s “Love on a Jujube Tree”. Despite having been in the entertainment industry for 35 years, her youthful appearance makes it hard to believe.
In fact, Go Hyun-jung was a top star at the peak of her popularity in the early ’90s.

At the beginning of her career, she captivated the public with her outstanding beauty, befitting a Miss Korea titleholder, her tall stature, and slender figure. Her debut-era photos range from her fresh-faced, makeup-free look to unique fashion choices that showcased her as a fashionista, offering a glimpse into ’90s trends.
Notably, some bold outfits, such as full-body tights, stand out. Her style, including jeans paired with crop tops and short jackets, remains timeless and would not look outdated even today.
Go Hyun-jung gained immense popularity as an actress, starring in hit dramas such as “Eyes of Dawn”, “Mother’s Sea”, and “Sandglass”. However, in 1995, she married Chung Yong-jin, a third-generation chaebol and now chairman of Shinsegae Group, leading to a hiatus from the entertainment industry. The couple had a son and a daughter but divorced in 2003 after eight years of marriage, with custody awarded to Chairman Chung.

According to the actress, she terribly misses her children, expressing her heartbreak over being unable to see them.
Following her divorce, Go Hyun-jung returned to acting in 2005 and has continued her acting career since. The actress will appear in the ENA drama “Namib”, set to premiere on December 23.
