Go Hyun-jung Returns to Filming After Major Surgery, Apologizes to Brother + Thanks Colleagues

On January 15, actress Go Hyun-jun published several photos on Instagram along with the caption, “Thank you to our team. Senior and junior actors, staff members in all fields, CEO, and the director… I bow my head in gratitude for welcoming me with warm hugs and support and love. I will repay you by focusing only on acting in the future. I would also like to greet my fans. I love you.”

In the revealed pictures, Go Hyun-jung, who has returned to the filming set, still looks rather weak, which makes viewers feel concerned for her. Despite this, the actress’ return to the drama set to fulfill her role draws support from many netizens.

Meanwhile, previously on January 6, Go Hyun-jung posted on her account, “Hello, I’m sorry for causing you worry. I’ve recovered significantly. I’m eating well now and even meeting close acquaintances,” providing a glimpse into her current condition.

She continued, “I was in more pain than I could have imagined, but now that I’ve successfully completed a major surgery, I feel more clear-headed. I will take better care of myself moving forward,” she said, adding, “The first photo is how I look today. I love you all. I sincerely bow my head in gratitude for your support and concern.”

Go Hyun-jung also shared photos and videos of herself in the hospital. She showed moments of her receiving treatment, eating meals, and smiling as she regained strength, reassuring her fans.
Additionally, she posted a photo of her younger brother, who took care of her during her illness, saying, “Brother, I’m sorry for making you handle important decisions alone as my guardian whenever I get sick. Thank you, and I love you.”
On December 16, Go Hyun-jung sparked concern when she suddenly announced her absence just two hours before the press conference for the Genie TV original drama “Namib.” At the time, her agency explained, “She collapsed in the morning and was rushed to the emergency room. Her health had been deteriorating, and she had collapsed multiple times on set before.”
Later, on December 24, she posted on her account, “Merry Christmas, everyone. Thanks to your concern, I’m feeling much better,” and added, “I can’t express how much strength your kind words have given me.” However, she noted, “I’m still hospitalized,” and promised, “I’ll recover quickly. Have a happy evening.”

After sharing the news of her health decline at the end of last year, Go Hyun-jung greeted fans in the new year, having recovered her health by 2025.
