On April 22, Go Kyung-pyo uploaded a vlog on his personal channel where he took viewers on a casual stroll through Banpo Hangang Park, combining exercise and his love for walking.

“I came out to walk during lunchtime on a weekday,” he said, noting how he enjoys walking as both a hobby and a form of light exercise. Addressing some comments he’s received online, he shared, “Some people enjoy the videos, others just come to pick a fight. But I’m not doing this for views—just to connect with those who like me.”

Go Kyung-pyo also commented on his recent hairstyle: a bowl cut inspired by one of his favorite anime characters, displaying his signature quirky charm.

While passing by a group of college students, Go Kyung-pyo remarked, “Are they on a break right now?” which led him to reflect on his own university days at Konkuk University (class of 2009). He humorously described the campus’s temptations, “There are too many distractions: bars, amusement parks, riverside parks. It’s no wonder I never graduated.” He added, “Technically, I’m not a college graduate. I’ve been enrolled for 16 years but never finished.”

Go Kyung-pyo also shared his feelings as a former all-boys school student entering college, “I was thrilled to attend lectures with girls for the first time. The shampoo scent in the lecture halls was something I’d never experienced before. It was exciting.”

He admitted to being part of a generation that grew up watching “Nonstop,” a Korean sitcom about carefree college life, which shaped his unrealistic expectations of university. “I thought university would be just fun and games. Maybe that’s why I never graduated,” he laughed.

Despite his nontraditional academic journey, Go Kyung-pyo cherishes his youthful days, “When I lived near Konkuk, I used to ride my bike around. Listening to music with headphones on, I felt so free.”

When approached by young fans for a photo, he happily obliged, saying, “Moments like this make me feel like I’m living well. People smile when they see me, not frown.”

Reflecting on his career, he concluded, “At some point, I realized I’m not some amazing person. I used to think actors had to be special to be one. But it’s just a job. I’m just a clown,” he said with a grin.

Through his honest reflections, Go Kyung-pyo offered fans a deeper look at the person behind the actor—relatable, grounded, and refreshingly sincere.
