Go So-young Exposes Jang Dong-gun’s Drunken Habit: “He Buys Ice Cream When He Drinks”

On June 7, actress Go So-young surprised fans with a new video titled “Go So-young, Who Said There Was Nothing to Buy at IKEA, Ended Up Buying 99 Items (My Own Money)” on her YouTube channel, The Very Go So-young.
Originally heading to IKEA to shop for a TV sideboard and storage cabinet for her vacation home in Gapyeong, Go So-young ended up purchasing a whopping 99 items—despite saying she didn’t expect to buy much. Her humorous and candid shopping trip was a highlight for viewers, showing off her relatable charm.
During the IKEA visit, Go So-young also took a food break, where she chatted with her crew about her family’s reaction to her vlogs. She revealed, “I showed them to my husband, and he was laughing so hard. He said they were way more entertaining than he expected.” She added that while her children were curious, they weren’t regular viewers of her content—prompting laughter from both Go So-young and the crew.

When asked whether her husband, actor Jang Dong-gun, buys ice cream when he drinks, she joked, “He bought some yesterday too. But now that I nag him about it, he’s started hiding it,” further entertaining fans with her candid family anecdotes.
The vlog also featured a special moment from Go So-young’s Gapyeong home, showing a sweet clip of Jang Dong-gun and their son racing in a toy car. The wholesome footage gave viewers a rare glimpse into the private life of one of Korea’s most iconic celebrity couples.

Married since May 2010, Go So-young and Jang Dong-gun share two children and have long been admired for their elegant yet low-key family life. While Go So-young debuted in 1992 with Tomorrow’s Love and Jang Dong-gun gained fame with the hit film Friend (2001), the couple has mostly kept their personal life out of the spotlight.
