Even the legendary Na Young-seok PD couldn’t hide his amazement when sitting across from actress Go Youn-jung, whose visuals have long stunned both fans and industry insiders alike.

On a recent episode of the YouTube channel Channel Fullmoon, the cast of tvN’s ongoing drama “Resident Playbook” including Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-ah, Kang Yoo-seok, and Han Ye-ji — appeared as guests. Naturally, all eyes (and compliments) were on Go Youn-jung, whose elegance radiated even off-screen.

Na PD playfully asked, “Were you just an ordinary art student?” Go replied with her signature humility, “I’ve been good at drawing since middle school. I wanted to try everything: ballet, figure skating…” She explained that she eventually transitioned into art after realizing she wasn’t allowed to do jumps during skating lessons. “Probably because I lacked talent,” she laughed.

Her road to stardom was equally spontaneous. While in college, her sister, a photography major, encouraged her to apply as a model for the university magazine “College Tomorrow.” Just three days after sending in her photo, she was flooded with casting offers — reportedly from four different agencies.

Na PD was shocked, “So the moment your face was in a magazine, people just started calling? I’m going to take a photo tomorrow too.” He added, “Didn’t people constantly tell you how pretty you are?”

Go Youn-jung replied modestly, “Sometimes, but not all the time. I wasn’t swarmed with compliments. Though I think I’ve been street-cast before.”

In a hilarious moment of envy, Na PD sighed, “I wish I could live just one day with Go Youn-jung’s face. I want to hear people tell me I’m handsome until I’m sick of it.”

Old photos from Go Youn-jung’s college days reveal her signature glowing skin and refined features — proving she’s always been a visual standout. Even with baby fat on her cheeks back then, her charm was unmistakable.
