Episode 8 of tvN’s Sat-Sun drama “When The Stars Gossip”, which aired on January 26th, showed the scene in which Gong Ryong (Lee Min-ho) and Eve Kim (Gong Hyo-jin) warmed each other with their love amid the freezing cold in space.
Eve Kim put on a space suit and left to rescue Gong Ryong, who had been left alone at the space station following a sudden collision with debris. As their bodies got cold, Gong Ryong and Eve Kim secretly drank the alcohol brought by Santiago (Alex Hafner) to maintain their body temperature. Sticking together tightly while enduring the cold, the two confessed deep thoughts to ease their fear. Gong Ryong even revealed that his mission in space was related to human artificial insemination.
Unable to control himself due to his overwhelming emotions, Gong Ryong boldly confessed, “It’s okay if we freeze to death”, then approached Eve Kim and kissed her passionately.
Once again, their bed scene in this episode became a hot topic.
In response, many viewers complained, “Can’t the story develop without bed scenes?”, “They’ve been talking about sex, sperm and pregnancy ever since episode 1. I’m already tired of it”, “The problem is not about the actors. I can’t understand such a story with the space background”, etc.
Despite the hot bed scene, the drama’s viewer rating recorded only 2.2%. Known as one of the most anticipated dramas of 2025 with a huge production cost of 50 billion won, “When The Stars Gossip” is losing its appeal to viewers due to the overuse of bed scenes.
