On January 19, Goo Hye-sun published a photo of her IQ certificate along with a selfie. According to this, Goo Hye-sun’s IQ is 167 (standard deviation 15 – 142, standard deviation 16 – 145), which places her in the top 0.26% top IQ scores in the world.

The actress also wrote, “The reason I took an IQ test for fun(?) is because most tests consist of patterns and I’m interested in studying patterns. That’s why all of my drawings are pattern-based. Art and science are connected. I’ll also upload the pattern drawings I’ve been working on recently”.

She also mentioned that the IQ test she took was a paid one.
Meanwhile, previously on January 18, Goo Hye-sun posted, “It’s 2 AM. I’m posting this in the midst of an all-night project, capturing my late-night sentiments.“

She stated, “An actress who doesn’t wear dresses, art, short haircuts and feminism—and now even a debate about wearing a hat. I still believe that the choice of whether to accept or reject various opinions and disagreements about who I am lies with me alone. In that sense, I am free.”

Goo Hye-sun continued, “However, I am sincerely grateful to those who generously offer encouragement, advice and counsel. I fully understand that my way of life may not be sufficient for others and that I must live as myself. Therefore, I welcome the absurd debates that will continue to arise and ask for your understanding.“
She added, “Through these debates, I hope for new and beneficial things to happen in society. To conclude, I will share a photo of myself wearing the KBO Korean Series hat that I cherish.” She attached a photo of herself smiling brightly while wearing a baseball cap.

Meanwhile, the controversy began on Jan 15th when Goo Hye-sun appeared on “Radio Star” wearing a hat. She explained her choice, “I was planning to shower today, but the boiler broke. Since I couldn’t wash my hair, I wore a hat. The PD suggested it would be better to film without the hat, but I couldn’t remove it due to the situation.”
Following the broadcast, some netizens criticized Goo Hye-sun for wearing the hat despite the PD’s request, questioning her attitude.
In response, Goo Hye-sun stated on Jan 16th, “Wearing a hat on an entertainment show, which isn’t a formal setting, due to personal circumstances is neither a sign of poor attitude nor rudeness—it’s my freedom. However, I am also very thankful for such feedback.” She later deleted this post but went on to post several photos of herself wearing different hats with the caption, “Hats are my freedom.”
