SBS Legal Hit “Good Partner” Confirms Season 2, Jang Na-ra & Nam Ji-hyun in Talks to Return
The hit SBS legal drama “Good Partner“ is officially getting a second season.
On June 3, JTBC Entertainment News reported that Studio S, the production company behind the series, has greenlit Season 2 and is currently in the early stages of planning.
Jang Na-ra and Nam Ji-hyun in Discussions
According to insiders, Jang Na-ra and Nam Ji-hyun, the leading actresses from Season 1, have been informed of the renewal and are considering their return. Filming is expected to begin in the fall, with production teams working on finalizing schedules and other details.
An SBS representative confirmed, “It’s true that Season 2 is in production. However, as we’re still in the early stages, the broadcast schedule, filming timeline, and casting have not yet been finalized. Discussions are ongoing.”
A Drama That Captured Hearts — and Ratings
Airing from July to September 2023, “Good Partner” follows the lives and legal battles of divorce lawyers. It struck a chord with viewers, peaking at a 17.7% viewership rating (Nielsen Korea).
Jang Na-ra portrayed Cha Eun-kyung, a top-tier divorce attorney, while Nam Ji-hyun played Han Yu-ri, a rookie lawyer filled with idealism and passion. Their compelling performances and chemistry were highly praised, culminating in awards season success:
