On May 11, Ham Eun-jung shared several photos on her personal channel with the caption, “Even the peonies are so beautiful. Mom would love these colors. It’s a little late, but carnations for Parents’ Day.”
The photos show Ham Eun-jung visiting her mother’s grave with carnations and peonies in hand for Parents’ Day. She also brought coffee and kimbap, her mother’s favorite items during her lifetime.

She wrote, “Sorry for coming a little late. I feel like you’re watching over me from heaven, and I’m so thankful for that. I love you. So, so much.” She also revealed that she tied a handwritten letter to the grave to keep it from blowing away in the wind and rain, adding, “I made sure to tie it tightly so it doesn’t fly away even for a few days.”
The letter read “To the amazing Ms. Lee! I’m thankful and happy to be your daughter. I love you so much”, evoking heartfelt emotion. Finally, Ham Eun-jung promised another visit soon, writing, “I’ll come again soon so you won’t have to wait too long. I miss you so much. I love you.”
Ham Eun-jung lost her mother on November 27, 2024.
At the “2024 KBS Drama Awards”, where she won the “Excellence Award ㅡ Actress in a Daily Drama” for “Suji & Uri”, she moved viewers by mentioning her late mother in her acceptance speech.

At the time, she said “About a month ago, my mother suddenly passed away” and recalled, “Since I was a child actress, she watched every single one of my projects as my personal monitor. ‘Suji & Uri’ was the only drama she didn’t comment on my acting or appearance. That’s how much she genuinely enjoyed watching it and felt all the emotions through it.”
Her tribute continues to touch hearts, reminding fans of the irreplaceable bond between a mother and daughter.
