Han Ga-in, Why Consider Plastic Surgery? Shocking Results After Consultation “Jaw and Cheekbones = 35 Million KRW”
On Jan 15th, the YouTube channel “Free-Spirited Wife Han Ga-in” released a video titled “What if Han Ga-in, Korea’s representative beauty, receives a plastic surgery estimate? (Shocking Results)”.
In the video, when asked if she had ever considered plastic surgery, Han Ga-in responded, “Except for accompanying my niece for nose fracture repair surgery, this is my first time visiting a plastic surgery clinic.“
Although she admitted to being curious about the feedback she might receive, she also humorously noted, “I can’t afford to face humiliation at a plastic surgery clinic.”
Han Ga-in explained, “I often hear that my real-life appearance doesn’t translate well on screen. I’m curious if there are areas to fix that might make me look better on camera.” To explore this, she scheduled consultations at three clinics in Gangnam.
The first clinic’s specialist commented that while she didn’t need any changes, signs of aging could affect her eyelids and eye hollows. He suggested a minor double eyelid enhancement and upper eyelid fat repositioning, estimating the cost at 2.5 to 3.5 million KRW.
Despite the advice, Han Ga-in expressed reluctance, saying, “I’ve always hesitated because I don’t want to change the essence of my face.”
At the second clinic, Han Ga-in confessed feeling intimidated, “Just being here makes me feel small. It’s not a place I’d recommend unless absolutely necessary.”
The specialist, after examining her, praised her natural beauty, “Among countless celebrities, Han Ga-in is one of the rarest beauties. However, facial contours could be a concern. Cheekbones, square jaw and lack of fat in certain areas could create a hollow appearance if she loses more weight. To enhance this, shaving down bones and refining the jawline would create a V-line shape.“
The estimated cost of comprehensive procedures, including contouring, double eyelid surgery, eyelid fat repositioning and nose correction, ranged from 25 to 35 million KRW. Han Ga-in remarked, “It’s like putting the cost of a car into my face.”
The third specialist suggested forehead lifting, hairline refinement and under-eye fat repositioning with an estimated cost of 16 million KRW. However, the doctor emphasized there was no urgent need, “Han Ga-in is a rare beauty in Korea. Surgery is only necessary if you truly can’t stand certain areas.“
After experiencing mixed emotions during the consultations, Han Ga-in decided against plastic surgery, stating, “I believe in the beauty of natural aging. I want to show a healthy, natural image as I grow older.”
