According to a June 6 exclusive from SPOTV News, The Black Label, helmed by Teddy, is actively preparing for the debut of a new co-ed idol group.

Teddy, often dubbed the “Midas Touch of K-pop,” has crafted a legacy through his work with some of the industry’s biggest names. From BIGBANG‘s Taeyang and BLACKPINK‘s Rosé, to soloist Jeon Somi and the rising girl group Miyao, his track record speaks volumes. More recently, he also introduced the girl group IZNA through Mnet’s I-LAND2: N/a.

Now, the producer is breaking from K-pop’s conventional format by preparing to debut a mixed-gender group, a rarity in today’s idol scene. While the industry is typically split between girl groups and boy groups, only a handful of co-ed acts like KARD have found success in recent years.

This bold move has stirred considerable excitement and speculation. With Teddy’s production pedigree, fans are already anticipating a groundbreaking sound, concept, and performance style that could challenge the norms of the genre.
The debut timeline and member lineup remain under wraps, but industry insiders suggest that the project is in its advanced planning stages. As anticipation builds, many believe Teddy’s co-ed group could set a new standard in the K-pop industry.
