Recently, Seungri’s “Burning Sun” scandal became the topic of discussion again after BBC released the documentary “Burning Sun: Exposing the secret K-pop chat groups”.
Soon after, however, news started to spread that Seungri is planning to relocate to Hong Kong and open a nightclub there. It was even reported that the former BIGBANG member purchased a luxury apartment in the city.

The aforementioned news quickly angered netizens in China and Hong Kong alike, who expressed their clear distaste for a sex criminal. Additionally, actor Jacky Heung – the son of Hong Kong showbiz tycoon Charles Heung, also made scathing remarks.
Particularly, the actor shared an article about Seungri’s plans in Hong Kong and added the caption, “You’re not welcome here, so don’t come over. Please stay away from Hong Kong showbiz. Opening a nightclub? Don’t bring your bad influences here and affect us negatively. Get lost.”
On the other hand, the Hong Kong Government has also responded to the news of Seungri’s relocation, emphasizing that they have yet to receive any visa request from a Korean artist.
