How Ji Jin-hee Found Out He Was Adopted And Reason He Didn’t Find His Real Parents

On February 10th, the YouTube channel “Zzanbro Shin Dong-yeop” uploaded a new content video featuring actor Ji Jin-hee as their guest.
In the video, Ji Jin-hee shared a story about himself, saying “After I entered middle school, the first thing I did was get my blood type tested. The result came out as A, so I went home and asked my parents about their blood types. My Mom’s is B and my Dad’s is O. So I thought, ‘I must have been adopted’. I believed that they couldn’t have kids so they took me in and raised me as their only son”. Lee Kyu-hyung looked surprised and wondered, “How could a middle school student think that far?”.

Ji Jin-hee continued, “I struggled with many thoughts, wondering whether I should tell my parents, whom I really appreciated for raising me, that I already discovered the secret of my birth, or try to find my biological parents. I even wondered why my real parents had abandoned me. ‘Were they poor?’ or countless similar thoughts came to my mind. In the end, I came to the conclusion that those who abandoned me were not my real parents, thinking ‘Only the people who raised me are my true parents. I will live with them as my parents’”. From the first year of middle school until he enlisted, Ji Jin-hee lived with the belief that he was adopted.
However, everything turned out to be a misunderstanding when the blood type test in the military confirmed the actor’s blood type as B. Ji Jin-hee added, “People say you tend to resemble people you live with. I did think that applied to me and my parents and that we gradually looked alike after living together for so long”, making everyone laugh hard.
