Hwasa Surprises Stylist with a Car for Birthday Gift: “Her Old One Broke Down”
On episode 4 of KBS2’s reality show “Crazy Rich Korean” aired July 6, the MAMAMOO member, Hwasa, was seen navigating her North American tour, sharing behind-the-scenes moments with her team as they traveled from New York to Boston.
To boost morale on the road, Hwasa initiated a playful bus quiz show, offering a rest stop shopping spree to the winning team. When the dancers emerged victorious, she handed over her card and said, “Use it freely at the rest area.” The team happily indulged in donuts and sandwiches—all on Hwasa.
Watching the footage, panelists Park Se-ri and Jun Hyun-moo playfully remarked, “At that point, it’s better to just let her sleep.”
But what truly stole the spotlight was a comment from her stylist. With a shy smile, the stylist revealed, “Hwasa once gave me a car for my birthday. She gives so much all the time, it’s hard to pick just one story.”
Clearly embarrassed, Hwasa responded, “Can’t believe she brought that up,” before explaining, “I’ve worked with her for nearly 10 years. Her old car had broken down, and she hadn’t been able to replace it. I wanted to give her something meaningful.”
A dancer chimed in with praise, saying, “I’ve never met anyone who cares for others like Hwasa. You can feel her sincerity every time.”
