Girl’s Day’s Hyeri and Dancer Wootae Reported to Be in a Relationship For A Year

According to entertainment insiders on July 1, Hyeri and dancer Wootae have been dating for over a year.
The couple reportedly met during the production of the film Victory, which was released last year. Hyeri starred in the film as the passionate leader of a novice cheerleading team, “Millennium Girls.” Wootae, along with fellow dancer Kinky, was involved as a choreographer for the film’s energetic dance sequences, including routines set to iconic tracks like Diva’s “Why Calling” and Deux’s “Turn Around And Look At Me.”

A source close to the couple stated, “Their relationship began during the film’s shoot in Geoje. They spent a lot of time practicing choreography together and their bond naturally deepened. They’ve also been seen enjoying quiet dates in Seoul.” The source added that while the relationship was kept low-key, the two have now begun to open up to those around them.
Another insider noted, “It’s a very thoughtful and cautious relationship. They’ve been each other’s support during challenging times, which has made their bond even more meaningful.”
Hyeri’s agency responds to dating rumors: “Since this is a private matter, we cannot confirm anything” — a statement many believe subtly acknowledges the relationship.

Hyeri debuted in 2010 with Girl’s Day and successfully transitioned into acting, gaining recognition through various projects including the drama Friendly Rivalry earlier this year. Riding on her popularity, she is currently holding fan meetings across ten cities in Asia.

Wootae gained wider public attention through his appearance on Mnet’s Street Man Fighter in 2022 with the Mbitious crew and is known for his expertise in choreography and dance.

As fans and colleagues express their support for the new couple, many look forward to seeing both stars continue to shine in their respective careers—now with a shared story of love behind the scenes.
