According to a Star News exclusive on April 17, Hyomin’s husband has been identified as Kim Hyun-seung, Managing Director at Bain Capital’s Seoul office. Born in November 1979, he is 46 years old (Korean age), making him 10 years older than Hyomin, who was born in May 1989 and is 36. Despite the age gap, the couple developed a relationship with marriage in mind and recently tied the knot.
Kim Hyun-seung is a graduate of Seoul National University, where he majored in Industrial Engineering. Prior to joining Bain Capital in 2018, he built an extensive career in finance, working at Bain & Company and Unison Capital, focusing on private equity and investment management. Known as a “handsome finance man,” he plays a key role in managing major deals and portfolios at Bain. Bain Capital is considered one of the leading global private equity firms actively involved in South Korea’s M&A market.
Until the wedding, Hyomin kept her partner’s identity private, only describing him as “not exactly a perfect handsome man, but to me, he’s really cool.” On April 6, the couple held their ceremony at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, where Hyomin later shared group photos revealing her husband’s tall and well-dressed appearance, drawing praise from fans and netizens alike.
