Jeon So-yeon’s Pixie Cut Signals I-DLE’s Boldest Concept Yet in “Good Thing” Reveal

On May 15, CUBE Entertainment released concept photos for “Good Thing”, the title track of (G)I-DLE’s upcoming 8th mini album We are, via the group’s official SNS channels.

The quintet—Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua—showcases an avant-garde transformation, solidifying their reputation for breaking norms with each comeback.
The concept images blend street-style edge with noir aesthetics, featuring the members under dim streetlights in a parking lot setting. In group shots, they stride forward with intense, expressionless gazes, exuding a cold, refined charisma that signals a fresh era for I-DLE.

One of the biggest shockers? Leader Jeon Soyeon’s dramatic pixie haircut, which instantly became a hot topic online. Her edgy new look perfectly matches the group’s sharp, narrative-driven concept.

Each member’s individual photo hints at a storyline tied to a mysterious incident—featuring bruises, bandages, and raw expressions. The juxtaposition of stylish outfits and facial injuries intensifies the cinematic feel of “Good Thing,” adding narrative depth that invites fans to look closer.

We are features six tracks, including the pre-release song “Girlfriend” and the title “Good Thing”, all co-written and co-composed by the members themselves—a signature hallmark of I-DLE’s artistry.

Ahead of the album’s release, the “Good Thing” challenge has already gone viral, with influencers jumping on the short-form video trend using clips and choreography from the track.
I-DLE’s We are mini album drops on May 19 at 6 PM KST on all major music platforms.
