I-DLE’s Shuhua Transforms into Snow White, Reveals IU as Her Ultimate Inspiration
The members of (G)I-DLE, Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua, captured attention with their fairy-tale-inspired transformations on the latest episode of the YouTube show “Halmyungsoo,” released on May 23.
Dressed as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, Belle, and Snow White respectively, the group made a memorable entrance with their distinct personalities and high-energy performances.
The girl group showcased their playful chemistry during a lively dance segment, before presenting the highlight choreography from their 8th mini album title track, “Good Thing.” Their candid banter and enthusiasm left host Park Myung-soo both entertained and overwhelmed.
During the show, Minnie promoted the new album in her native Thai and explained that she usually translates for fans as well. Park Myung-soo praised her Korean fluency, to which Soyeon added
“I’ve never had to correct her pronunciation while recording songs,” highlighting Minnie’s exceptional language skills as a foreign idol in Korea.
One of the most heartwarming moments came when Shuhua revealed that her role model is IU, citing the soloist’s dual success in singing and acting.
“IU sunbaenim is amazing at both acting and singing,” said Shuhua,
“Many fans are waiting for my solo activities. Please look forward to them.”
This revelation not only showed her admiration for one of Korea’s most respected artists but also hinted at her ambitions to expand her own career. The segment wrapped with a light-hearted balance game, where members were sprayed with water guns if they laughed, maintaining a fun and vibrant atmosphere throughout the show.
