On November 12, additional documents said to be from ILLIT’s debut plan were revealed, garnering significant attention. In fact, it was noticed that images of BLACKPINK’s Jennie were taken as inspiration for the group.

However, while Jennie’s inclusion was mostly in a positive light, the same can’t be said for how ILLIT’s debut plan talked about 4 other girl groups.

Particularly, ITZY and (G)I-DLE were mocked together for being too “aggressive” with their concepts that emphasize the message “we are different” and “follow us”.

Meanwhile, aespa’s concept was described as being “too flashy and over-the-top” to copy, and STAYC was said to have a concept that no one would want to imitate.

On top of this, the newly revealed documents were said to have similar format with a portion of ILLIT’s debut plan revealed in a previous Belift Lab video

Below are some comments from netizens up discovering these alleged comments of Belift Lab:

  • It’s funny that these are writing in a big company’s plan
  • The company really was founded by people with elementary school level intelligence.
  • This agency criticize other groups and yet doesn’t do well with their own artists
  • Didn’t the old video mention BLACKPINK, NewJeans, and IVE? Now they are dragging aespa, ITZY, (G)I-DLE, and STAYC in too…

On the other hand, ILLIT’s debut plan was also accused of copying NewJeans.
